NiCr2 500 White Iron Casting Introduction
In the crystallization process, there is no graphite precipitation, and the fracture is silver-white type of cast iron, referred to as white iron. The structure contains more free cementite, has high hardness (generally above HB500), but is brittle, and is often used as anti-wear parts, such as agricultural tools, grinding balls, coal mill parts, shot blasting machine blades, mud Pump parts, cast sand pipes, and the outer surface of chill rolls.

Use
The most widely used is high chromium white cast iron with a chromium content of 12% to 20%, and carbides of (Cr, Fe) 7C3 are formed in the structure. High-chromium white cast iron is usually subjected to high-temperature heat treatment to precipitate secondary carbides, and austenite transforms into martensite during cooling. High-chromium white cast iron is widely used in dry grinding, such as ironmaking blast furnace crucibles and chute liners. Low carbon has good toughness and low hardness, which is suitable for occasions with large impact load; high carbon is used for occasions with small impact load and good wear resistance.
