Ni-hard White Iron Castings Introduction
Nickel hard cast iron is based on ordinary white cast iron by adding 3% ~ 5% nickel and 1.5% ~ 3.5% chromium, to obtain a very hard and wear-resistant martensitic matrix +M3C carbide structure. The solid solution of nickel and iron can effectively improve hardenability, promote the formation of martensite bainite matrix, and meanwhile, nickel can stabilize austenite. The addition of chromium can prevent graphitization, promote the formation of carbides, and increase the hardness of M3C TYPE CARBIDES
